I'mm gonna sit oon the mailbox today hoping for that letter from the consulate but, most likely it won't get here 'til tomorrow.

To keep myself busy I'm getting ready to reformat my hard drive and re-install Windows. I would much rather be working on my Linux box or on my Mac but, it's a Windows world so I use XP Pro. I also have to go give a computer lesson this afternoon and rebuild 3 systems today or over the weekend.

As you can see I may have retired a few years ago but, I stay very busy.

Well I'm back from the consulate and I'm no closer to getting into Canada than when I left this morning. They did however tell me that a letter was sent out to me yesterday requesting more information from me, I dont know what else they could be asking for as I already gave them everything they asked for the first time and then some. Guess I'll have to wait for the letter to come. They wouldn't tell me anything at all while I was there.

well I'm going to do some work on my other website and start a new page here. Hopefully I'll have another page up here by the end of the weekend.
Please pardon the first two posts as I originally had them on my other website.

Well, I'm off to the Canadian Consulate today. I have to find out something about my applications for Temporary residency. I hate waiting, especially when it comes to Government agencies. They are the slowest people on this earth. What bothers me the most is that I already did most of the work for them and submitted original copies of all the paperwork that I had to gather from other government agencies here in the States. Oh well, one day at a time. One thing at a time.

I'll let you all know how things turn out a little later today. Right now I'm in sort of a rush to get going.

Whewwwww I'm tired this morning. I've been running all over these past two weeks working on computers. So today I'm just Gonna stay home and work on some HTML for this site and maybe my personal pages too.

I found a few more interesting links this morning for video and audio editing as well as animation software so I have downloaded the programs to test them out and will add the links to my website. I'll let you know how they work out.

Tomorrow I plan on going to the Canadian consulate and see how my residency permit is coming along. I sure miss my fiance, even though we spend a lot of time on the phone, it's not the same as having her around me in person. Worst now is her computer is down so we can't even video conference and our phone bills should be sky high this month. Oh well, one thing at a time. One day at a time.

Well, I'm new to all this blogging stuff, so I'll start with just a few things about me.

I just had my 53rd birthday and got engaged to a beautiful Canadian lady. Unfortunately, now I am going through the Canadian residency crap and I can't even visit her at her home in Quebec until it's all done.

Thank God for cheap airfare through Yahoo travel. At least I can bring her here for short stays.

I started my website here almost a year ago because I am a techie who travels around to other peoples' homes to work on their computers and I realized that they could do a lot of work themselves, all they needed was a few places to go while online to get some info. Also, most of the people that I deal with are low income or moderate income with children and don't have a lot of money to spend on software so I started to publish all the links I could find to free software. I should say, free GOOD software.

I have been running my own websites for nearly seven years now and I am now in the process of creating my own CD on webmastery for the beginner using only free tools and basic HTML.

More on me later. I'm off to see the wizard.
